The darker side of the wizarding world is preparing to descend upon Universal Orlando Resort this fall. Guests will once again encounter sinister spells, menacing followers of Lord Voldemort, and powerful Dark magic as Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle returns to Hogsmeade and Death Eaters invade Diagon Alley on select nights.

The seasonal experiences will take place across both Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, giving Harry Potter fans two different opportunities to confront the forces of darkness.
Death Eaters Arrive in Diagon Alley on August 27
Beginning August 27 and continuing on select nights through November 1, guests visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida may come face-to-face with Death Eaters.
Known as Lord Voldemort’s most loyal followers, the Death Eaters will prowl the streets and roam through the shadows of Knockturn Alley. Their intimidating presence will bring a darker and more mysterious atmosphere to Diagon Alley throughout the fall season.
Guests brave enough to explore Knockturn Alley will want to remain alert. A Death Eater could emerge from the darkness when they least expect it.
Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle Returns for the First Time Since 2022
Over at Universal Islands of Adventure, Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will make its long-awaited return to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade.
The nighttime projection show will be presented on select nights from September 5 through November 1. This marks the first time the experience has appeared at Universal Orlando Resort since 2022.
As darkness falls across Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Castle will become the setting for an ominous confrontation with some of the wizarding world’s most dangerous creatures and characters.
The experience uses state-of-the-art projection mapping, special effects, dramatic lighting, and music from the Harry Potter films to transform the iconic castle. Dementors, Death Eaters, and other members of Lord Voldemort’s forces will appear across Hogwarts as the power of Dark magic takes hold.
The combination of familiar music, towering projections, and atmospheric effects creates an immersive spectacle designed to surround guests with the darker side of the Harry Potter story.

Dark Arts Merchandise Arrives at Universal Orlando
Guests who prefer to showcase their allegiance to the darker side of magic will also find a selection of Dark Arts-inspired merchandise available throughout the season.
Among the newest offerings is a Second Generation Interactive Wand modeled after the wand wielded by Lord Voldemort. The interactive wand can be used at designated spell locations throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Fans searching for unusual magical artifacts can also venture into Borgin and Burkes. Located in the shadowy corners of Knockturn Alley, the shop is known for its collection of mysterious objects, Dark Arts merchandise, and items connected to some of the wizarding world’s most questionable characters.
Two Dark Experiences Across Universal Orlando
Guests hoping to experience both offerings should pay close attention to their respective schedules. Death Eaters will appear in Diagon Alley on select nights from August 27 through November 1, while Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle will be presented in Hogsmeade on select nights from September 5 through November 1.
Specific operating dates may vary, so guests should consult Universal Orlando Resort’s official schedule while planning their visit.
With Death Eaters prowling Diagon Alley and Dark magic overtaking Hogwarts Castle, this fall promises to be especially exciting for fans who prefer the more sinister side of the wizarding world. Whether encountering Lord Voldemort’s followers in the shadows or watching Hogwarts Castle transform after dark, guests will have several opportunities to embrace Dark magic at Universal Orlando Resort.
