Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is paying tribute to heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne this year with an all-original haunted house called Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, inspired by his legendary solo career. Guests will climb aboard the Crazy Train for a terrifying ride through Ozzy’s world of rock and roll, with the experience opening Friday, August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Designed as a living horror movie, this one of a kind memorial spans 45 years of Ozzy’s outrageous and eccentric career, with each coast offering its own unique take on the journey. Guests will be guided through the experience by music from Ozzy’s solo albums, including The Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, Scream and Ordinary Man. Sharon and Jack Osbourne shared their support for the tribute, saying Ozzy loved anything that let fans experience his music and imagination in new ways, and that walking through the houses fans will recognize so many moments pulled straight from his music and creative world.
At Universal Studios Hollywood, the haunted house takes fans back to where it all began in Birmingham, England, tracing Ozzy’s journey from childhood all the way to the Osbourne Asylum, inspired by Diary of a Madman. Along the way guests will encounter different eras of Ozzy’s persona, including Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy and the Prince of Darkness himself. Meanwhile at Universal Orlando, guests will wind through ancient ruins and dungeons before boarding the Crazy Train into a world pulled from the covers of Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin and Black Rain, channeling the heavier sound and darker imagery that defined the later years of his career.

Both parks are promising plenty of hidden details and Easter eggs for fans to discover along the way. Universal has also released limited edition merchandise inspired by the tribute, including a T-shirt and an Ozzy acrylic figure that pairs with the separately sold Infernal Carnival display, both launching tomorrow, Thursday, July 30 at 9am PST on shopUniversal.com. Halloween Horror Nights runs select nights at Universal Orlando Resort from August 28 through November 1, and at Universal Studios Hollywood from September 3 through November 1, with tickets and Frequent Fear Pass options available now at HalloweenHorrorNights.com.
