Happy fall Everyone! If you ask me, fall is the absolute best season at Walt Disney World. The heat finally breaks a bit, the parks get decked out for Halloween, and there’s just something magical in the air. I love it! That being said, I had a little something that I wanted to share that may be of use to you! Here are my favorite ways to make the most of the fall season at the parks!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
This is the crown jewel of fall at Disney World, hands down. The Boo to You parade, the Halloween fireworks, trick or treating around Magic Kingdom in your costume, it’s spooktacular! The 2026 dates sold out, so if you missed it this year, start planning early for next year. Trust me, it’s worth it. OR, keep checking Disney’s website or app to see if any tickets pop up! You never know!
EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival
Fall means the Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT, and it’s one of my favorite times to be there. All the global marketplaces, concerts and the smaller bites that let you graze your way around the world. It’s the best time for strolling and snacking.
The Fall Decorations
Main Street, U.S.A. goes full autumn with pumpkins, garlands, and all the fall colors. The whole park just feels cozier. Don’t skip the photo ops either! The decorations alone are worth the trip.
Halloween Treats and Merch
Fall brings exclusive snacks (pumpkin spice everything), Halloween merch, and more! It’s the same park you love, but with a spooky twist. Especially in the stores! The Halloween merchandise is great this year, make sure you take a look!
The Weather
Let’s be honest, this might be the real star of the show. After a brutal Florida summer, fall days are actually pleasant. Less humidity, finally! Evening park time is magical when you’re not melting. As we inch closer to November, it just gets better and better!
Jollywood Nights
If your fall trip stretches into November, Hollywood Studios’ Jollywood Nights is a whole holiday party vibe! The glitz, glamour, and Christmas cheer with a vintage Hollywood twist. You can get a little dressed up if you want to as well, we always do!
Lower Crowds
September and October weekdays in particular tend to be calmer than the summer rush. Shorter lines, easier dining reservations, and more breathing room to just enjoy being there. Now, keep in mind this is always subject to change, the parks have been busy this year!
Fall at Disney World really is something special. Whether you’re there for the Halloween party, the food, or just the weather, it’s a season worth planning a trip around. I do suggest however, if you don’t want to miss out on the holiday parties, get your tickets asap! If Halloween was any indicator, the Christmas party season could sell out too! Happy Fall Y’all!
