Alien Swirling Saucers has a new DJ. Since September 25, Lilypad, the frog shaped smart tablet from Pixar’s Toy Story 5, has been running the music at Toy Story Land’s spinning attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here’s everything you need to know before you ride, from the full playlist to the holiday tracks arriving next month.
Who Is DJ Lilypad?
Lilypad is one of the new characters introduced in Toy Story 5, a smart tablet designed to look like a frog. At Alien Swirling Saucers, Lilypad has taken over the music booth, connecting to the internet to remix and mash up songs across pop, country, EDM and alternative rock. The result is a soundtrack that blends familiar Toy Story music with styles you’d never expect to hear from the Little Green Men.
The Lilypad’s Jams Song List
The playlist mixes reimagined Toy Story classics with two brand new songs written just for the attraction.
Reimagined Toy Story favorites:
- “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”
- “We Belong Together”
- “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away”
New original songs:
- “Pizza Planet Promo”
- “Spin It Back, Lilypad”
According to Walt Disney Imagineering, the team wanted the new originals to be catchy and easy to sing along to, and Imagineers worked directly with Pixar to write new material for the characters.
More to Do Before You Ride
The update goes beyond the ride itself. Disney added interactive entertainment around the attraction, where guests can sing along, solve puzzles and watch character “home videos.” It’s a nice way to keep little ones busy while you wait.
Holiday Tracks Coming November 4
Lilypad is getting festive this season. From November 4 through January 6, Alien Swirling Saucers will play a holiday playlist featuring:
- “Deck the Halls”
- “Toyland”
- “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
- “Joy to the Swirl”

Tips for Riding
- Ride more than once. With remixes across several music styles, repeat rides are part of the fun.
- Arrive early or go late. Toy Story Land is one of the busiest areas of Hollywood Studios, so waits are usually shortest at park opening and in the last hour before close.
