Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to get a whole lot more musical, and it is all thanks to a brand new character making her debut on September 25, 2026. Meet Lilypad — a frog-shaped smart tablet character from Toy Story 5 who is stepping into the role of resident DJ for Alien Swirling Saucers, and she is bringing an entirely new soundtrack experience with her.
Who Is Lilypad?
Lilypad is a character straight out of the Toy Story 5 universe, reimagined as a tech-savvy little frog with a passion for music and mixing. She serves as the DJ for the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction, spinning tracks across multiple genres including pop, country, EDM and alt-rock. If you have ever wished Toy Story Land had a little more musical energy, Lilypad is exactly the answer to that.
A Whole New Soundtrack
The new musical experience is called “Lilypad’s Jams,” and it features both reimagined classics from the Toy Story films and brand new original tracks recorded just for this experience. Some of the beloved songs getting the Lilypad treatment include “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “We Belong Together,” and “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away.” The new original tracks include “Pizza Planet Promo” and “Spin It Back, Lilypad.”
The soundtrack was recorded in Nashville with a team of world-class musicians, giving the whole project a level of musical polish that goes well beyond a typical theme park ride update.
Thomas Niederhiser, Senior Creative Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering, explained the thinking behind it: “We wanted to think about the music in a completely new way taking beloved songs from the Toy Story films, and create catchy new original songs.”
More Than Just a Ride Update
What makes the Lilypad experience especially fun is that guests do not need to be riding Alien Swirling Saucers to enjoy it. When you are in the area, you can catch Lilypad in action as she introduces tracks, creates doodles, unscrambles puzzles, and shares recorded home videos featuring Toy Story characters.
