Disney’s Hollywood Studios is stacking up holiday additions this year, with new seasonal music on two attractions, a holiday makeover for Walt Disney Presents and the return of several fan favorites.
DJ Lilypad Spins Holiday Tunes on Alien Swirling Saucers
From November 4 through January 6, DJ Lilypad is debuting a holiday playlist on Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams in Toy Story Land. The new tracks include “Deck the Halls,” “Toyland,” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers” and “Joy to the Swirl,” giving the little green aliens a festive soundtrack for the season.
The Electric Mayhem’s Holiday Concert
Running the same dates, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay brings four holiday songs to the coaster: “Holiday Road” featuring Kermit and Fozzie, “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” featuring Jennifer Hudson, “Silver Bells” featuring Cyndi Lauper, and “Little Saint Nick” by The Electric Mayhem.
Holiday Shorts at Walt Disney Presents
Walt Disney Presents is getting a seasonal installation with props and artifacts from Disney holiday films. Its theater will also screen a limited lineup of vintage holiday shorts, including Walt Disney’s On Ice, Pluto’s Christmas Tree and Goofy’s The Art of Skiing. For classic Disney animation fans, this might be the sleeper hit of the season.
Returning Favorites
Sunset Seasons Greetings returns with nightly projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel, transforming it into a Muppets gingerbread creation, a Toy Story toy hotel, a snowy Arendelle scene and a village from Mickey’s Christmas Carol.
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration continues at the Hyperion Theater with a holiday finale featuring Olaf.
Toy Story Land goes big with oversized holiday decor, and Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear will be dressed in their holiday outfits for photos.
Minnie’s Holiday Dine returns to Hollywood & Vine with Minnie and friends in seasonal attire. The menu includes herb roasted chicken, carved beef tenderloin, seared salmon, spice rubbed pork loin and a meatless mushroom farro risotto, with desserts like seasonal bread pudding and Mississippi mud pie. Disney strongly recommends booking ahead.
Around the park, listen for “Cool Yule” on Sunset Boulevard and stop by Echo Lake for a holiday photo with Gertie.
On select nights, Disney Jollywood Nights returns as a separately ticketed after hours holiday event.
