Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is getting closer, and Disney just gave us a new look inside! Ahead of reservations opening to all guests on October 8, Disney shared new details about the resort’s grand lobby. It also gave a first look at Branch & Brush, a new lounge coming to the resort on the south shore of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World.
The grand lobby will have huge windows that stretch from floor to ceiling, so guests see the beauty of nature the moment they walk in. The design draws on the music and storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas. A shimmering fiberoptic river will light up the floor and flow around a custom bronze centerpiece designed by Walt Disney Imagineering.
Fans should look closely at that centerpiece. Disney says many familiar friends from decades of Disney animation are etched into its design. Overhead, a blown glass sculpture called Colors of the Wind will hang above the lobby. Its hundreds of glass leaves will fill the space with movement, color, and wonder.
Just past the lobby, guests will find Branch & Brush. The new lounge will serve handcrafted cocktails with sweeping views of Bay Lake. It is inspired by the changing seasons, with rich colors, natural textures, and a collection of artwork. In the middle of the lounge, a chandelier will change colors to bring all four seasons to life. It sounds like a great spot to relax after a long day in the parks.
From watching the sunrise over Bay Lake to enjoying a nightcap at Branch & Brush, Disney says every moment at Lakeshore Lodge will celebrate the wonder of nature and the magic of Disney storytelling.
