According to a new lawsuit, an Orange County man is seeking $50,000 in damages after falling off of the Haunted Mansion attraction at Walt Disney World.
The lawsuit was filed Monday morning and states that in April the man was trying to get on the Haunted Mansion ride at Magic Kingdom to join his wife. However, in the process of getting on the attraction, an employee hit the emergency stop button, causing the ride to jolt. The man says this caused him to fall off of the ride, the lawsuit shows.
According to the suit, the man says he has suffered “severe and permanent injuries” due to the fall. As a result, he is seeking over $50,000 in compensation.

The Haunted Mansion is dark and contains some mildly frightening scenes, but there is no gore, the ghostly residents are friendly and the ride is slow-moving.
