Star Wars and Marvel fans will soon be able to drop iconic sounds right into their Discord chats and Twitch streams. Voicemod, the AI powered voice changing and soundboard platform, announced a new deal with Disney that brings official Star Wars and Marvel soundboards to its app, starting with sounds from The Mandalorian and Grogu.
What the Voicemod Disney Deal Includes
Under the agreement, Variety reports that Voicemod will add soundboards from Star Wars and Marvel projects to its platform. That gives the app’s 5.7 million monthly active users the ability to play official quotes and sound effects while they chat, game and stream on platforms like Twitch and Discord.
The first soundboards, featuring sounds from The Mandalorian and Grogu, are available now. Additional Star Wars and Marvel soundboards will roll out later, though no dates or specific titles have been announced yet.
According to Voicemod, the idea is to let fans bring those sounds into the moments they already share online, whether they’re joking around with friends, reacting during a livestream or creating their own content.
No, You Can’t Sound Like Grogu (Yet)
Even though Voicemod is best known for its real time AI voice changer, this deal doesn’t appear to let users transform their own voices to sound like Din Djarin or Grogu. Instead, the Disney soundboards work more like sound memes, official clips and effects that users can fire off in response to a message or a moment in a game.
Why This Deal Stands Out
The bigger story here is Disney’s willingness to license its biggest franchises to an AI related company. Many in Hollywood have treated artificial intelligence as a third rail, and Disney putting Star Wars and Marvel next to an AI voice platform shows how entertainment companies are starting to rethink that. It’s not the only place Disney is exploring AI, either. Earlier this year, we covered how Walt Disney Imagineering is bringing AI into attraction design, a move that left fans divided.
What Is Voicemod?
Founded in 2014 in Valencia, Spain, by brothers Jaime, Juan and Fernando Bosch, Voicemod is a real time voice changer and soundboard app for Windows and Mac. Gamers, streamers and content creators use it to change the sound of their voice and play sound effects during voice chats and broadcasts. Jaime Bosch serves as the company’s CEO.
More Star Wars and Marvel on the Way
The Mandalorian and Grogu brought Din Djarin and Grogu to theaters in May 2026, making it a natural first pick for the soundboards. With Avengers: Doomsday arriving December 18 and Star Wars: Starfighter coming in May 2027, there will be no shortage of new Marvel and Star Wars sounds Disney could add down the line. Catch up on the latest Avengers: Doomsday TV spot and the Star Wars: Starfighter budget reveal.
