If a sit down British meal by World Showcase Lagoon is part of your early 2027 EPCOT plans, you’ll want to adjust. Walt Disney World has announced that Rose & Crown Dining Room in the United Kingdom Pavilion will close for refurbishment beginning Monday, February 15, 2027.
How Long Will Rose & Crown Be Closed?
Disney lists the closure as lasting from February 15 through “early spring.” An exact reopening date has not been announced, and Disney hasn’t shared what work will be done during the closure.
For reference, the restaurant went through a refurbishment on nearly the same schedule in 2021. That closure also began February 15 and lasted a little over a month, with reservations returning on March 21. There’s no guarantee this one will follow the same timeline, but it gives guests a rough idea of what to expect.
What Stays Open in the UK Pavilion
The good news for fans of British fare is that the closure only affects the table service Dining Room. Two neighboring spots will remain open:
Rose & Crown Pub will continue pouring its lineup of British beers, ciders, scotches and cocktails, along with a selection of food.
Yorkshire County Fish Shop will still be serving its walk up fish and chips, which many guests consider one of the best quick bites in World Showcase.
That means you can still grab a pint and a basket of fish and chips, but you’ll lose the full menu of favorites like bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie and sticky toffee pudding while the Dining Room is down, along with its lagoon view patio seating.
What This Means for Your Trip
The timing lands during EPCOT International Festival of the Arts season, which is a busy stretch for World Showcase dining. If you were counting on Rose & Crown, consider booking another table service restaurant in World Showcase as a backup, and keep an eye on My Disney Experience for availability once a reopening date is set. Dining reservations open 60 days in advance, so dates after the refurbishment should start appearing as Disney finalizes the schedule.
