SeaWorld Orlando is taking Howl-O-Scream to a terrifying new level in 2026. This year’s separately ticketed Halloween event will introduce the park’s first haunted house inspired by a major motion picture, alongside four original houses, six scare zones, five themed bars, live entertainment, frightening new food and several roller coasters operating in the dark.
Howl-O-Scream 2026 will take place on select nights from September 11 through October 31. Intended for mature audiences, the event promises to transform SeaWorld Orlando into a sprawling nighttime nightmare where the scares continue far beyond the haunted houses.
“I Know What You Did Last Summer” Comes to Howl-O-Scream
The biggest addition to this year’s event is “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch.”
Inspired by Sony Pictures’ 1997 horror movie, the new experience marks the first time SeaWorld Orlando has created a Howl-O-Scream haunted house based on a film.
Guests will find themselves transported to Southport, where they must confront scenes inspired by the infamous massacre featured in the movie. Throughout the house, visitors will attempt to evade the Fisherman as he stalks his next victims.
The addition represents an important milestone for Howl-O-Scream and opens the door for even more movie-inspired experiences to potentially appear at SeaWorld Orlando in the future.
Five Haunted Houses Await Guests
In addition to “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch,” Howl-O-Scream 2026 will feature four new original haunted houses.
Dark Net
A worldwide energy crisis has pushed technology in a horrifying new direction. Cyborgs have turned to vampirism to survive inside the dangerous underworld of a futuristic city, leaving humans caught between machines and monsters.
Guests will enter a cyberpunk nightmare where black oil flows like blood and the predators hunting them can no longer tell the difference between metal and flesh.
Everything Must Stay
A seemingly ordinary suburban home has remained on the market for years—but every open house has ended with potential buyers fleeing in terror.
During the property’s latest showing, the unseen forces haunting the house are finally ready to reveal themselves. Once guests step inside, however, they may discover that leaving the property is no longer an option.
Raveyard
The ultimate underground rave has become an endless party for the undead.
Music pounds through the darkness as newly resurrected partygoers continue dancing long after death. Guests entering Raveyard will have to navigate an afterlife celebration where the party—and the terror—never stops.
Crawlspace
Something has gone terribly wrong beneath the city.
A recently closed sewer system contains evidence of a failed containment operation, but whatever officials attempted to trap underground is still growing. As the creature becomes larger and hungrier, guests must find their way out of the tunnels before they become its next meal.
Six Scare Zones Take Over the Park
The terror will not end when guests exit the haunted houses. Six scare zones will transform SeaWorld Orlando’s pathways into environments filled with zombies, cursed lovers, strange creatures, survivalists and enormous insects.
Nekrosis
New Year’s Eve 1999 was supposed to be the biggest party of the decade. Instead, an infectious mystery changed an entire seaside town when the clock struck midnight.
Now, its residents remain trapped in the past, surrounded by abandoned video stores, forgotten technology and reminders of the 1990s. Zombies roam the streets, proving this particular decade refuses to stay buried.
Just One More Chapter
Modern dark romance provides the inspiration for this sinister enchanted garden.
Cursed lovers, mysterious antiheroes and dangerously alluring creatures invite guests deeper into a story filled with obsession, betrayal and heartbreak. The setting may be beautiful, but every great romance inside this garden begins with a dangerous decision.
Woodrot Hollow
The returning Woodrot Hollow takes guests back into a forest overtaken by decay.
Twisted trees, rotting plants and ancient woodland creatures have reclaimed the wilderness, turning every winding trail into a path toward something increasingly corrupted.
Trailer Park Tragedy
Another returning favorite, Trailer Park Tragedy combines gruesome horror with dark humor.
Its suspicious residents are prepared to defend their rundown neighborhood from anyone who dares to enter. Rusted campers, flickering porch lights and unsettling surprises await throughout the forgotten community.
Dooms District
The apocalypse has arrived, but the residents of Dooms District cannot agree on exactly how the world will end.
Conspiracy theorists, survivalists and doomsday preppers compete to recruit guests to their causes as civilization collapses around them. The trouble is that any—or all—of their theories could be correct.
Extermination Order
A massive insect infestation has spiraled beyond anyone’s control.
Exterminators are fighting an all-out war against the invading creatures, but the battle may already be lost. Guests will enter a zone where insects crawl through every corner and humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain.
Five New Themed Bars Join the Event
Howl-O-Scream 2026 will also introduce five immersive bars that expand upon the stories found throughout the event.
“The Rewind” will take guests back to the 1990s with VHS tapes, dial-up internet and other pieces of nostalgic technology. Inspired by Dark Net, “Byte Bar” will offer a neon-filled cyberpunk setting where machines have developed a dangerous new thirst.
The undead celebration continues at “Resurrection Club,” while “The Black Sheep” gives doomsday preppers a place to exchange survival strategies over themed cocktails. Guests can also visit “Larva Lounge” for drinks inspired by the insect infestation spreading across the park.
New Food and Sinister Sips
SeaWorld Orlando is introducing an extensive selection of new food and beverages for this year’s event.
The 2026 menu will include:
- Tripleta Sandwich with roasted pork, ham and steak
- Eggo Massacre, featuring crispy chicken and waffles with maple chili syrup
- Highway Havoc Bacon Mac & Cheese Dog
- Beef Birria Ramen
- Philly Cheese “Stake”
- Bloody Cookie
Specialty cocktails created for Howl-O-Scream will include Midnight Marigold, Mutation Serum, Radiation Exposure, Emergency Beacon, Roadkill Wreckage, Static on Channel 7 and Grito de la Muerte.
Seasonal beers and more than 15 new themed mocktails will also be available.
Guests who want to sample several selections can purchase Food and Beverage Lanyards. Multiple lanyard options will allow visitors to mix and match eligible food, cocktails and mocktails throughout the evening.
Live Entertainment Returns
Two popular live shows will return for Howl-O-Scream 2026.
“Throttle” combines action, stunts and explosive effects in a high-energy production. This year’s version will also introduce a new character who adds an unexpected development to the show’s story.
“Monster Stomp” will once again bring percussion, rock music and creatures together for one of Howl-O-Scream’s signature nighttime performances.
Ride SeaWorld Orlando’s Coasters in the Dark
Guests looking for even more thrills will be able to experience four of SeaWorld Orlando’s attractions after dark.
Nighttime rides have become an important part of Howl-O-Scream, giving visitors the opportunity to brave the park’s roller coasters between haunted houses, scare zones and live shows.

Several upgraded options will be available for guests hoping to experience more of the event in a single night.
Front Line Fear products will provide enhanced access to haunted houses and select rides, with some options also including reserved seating for shows and additional benefits.
The VIP Terror Tour will offer a guided premium experience featuring front-of-the-line access and exclusive perks throughout the event.
