Holy cuteness, you have to check this out! A brand-new interactive experience is coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland in the form an adorable Ewok! Starting on August 13, guests can purchase an interactive Ewok companion inside Droid Depot at Disneyland Park, marking the debut of the new Batuu Adventure Buddies collection. Here it is!
You can also personalize your Ewok with themed gear sets inspired by various Star Wars locations and fan-favorite characters throughout the galaxy (available for an additional cost).
The Ewok is the first of three interactive Batuu Adventure Buddies arriving at Droid Depot. The remaining two companions will debut at Disneyland at a later date, with the complete collection eventually making its way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These adorable new companions feature expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions, and their own bit of personality. Each Ewok comes to life with laughs, chatter, and other sounds. They can even interact with the droids available at Droid Depot. So fun for kids both big and small!
You can unlock different reactions by interacting with your Ewok. A single tap on its head or a double tap on its belly triggers cute random responses. Three quick taps on its head activate the Endor Dance Party, complete with animated eyes, Ewokese chants, and drumming, with nearby Ewoks joining in on the fun. I may have the have one of them!
Also, rapidly double-tapping its belly starts the Forest Call Chain, sending out a scout call that nearby Ewoks and compatible toys can answer in their own unique languages. Squee! I don’t know about you, but one of these precious little guys just may end up being a must for me! I can’t wait to see one in person!
