Today In Disney History ~ December 28th
The Magic Kingdom first opened it’s gates on October 1, 1971. November 26, 1971 was the first day in park history where the parking lot would reach capacity, and this would occur again on December 27 and 28. Entry was restricted for several hours on these dates.
