“Wynonna Judd has been called a “singer of rare power” and she’ll turn up the voltage with some classic Elvis Presley songs on Good Morning America, as she does in the new Walt Disney animated movie Lilo & Stitch.
Filmmakers who worked on the animated summer comedy about a young Hawaiian girl and her close encounter with the galaxy’s most wanted extraterrestrial, decided to go with an Elvis music theme and they chose country superstar Wynonna for a new rendition of Presley’s “Burning Love.”
Wynonna will perform two Presley hits, “Burning Love” and “Don’t Be Cruel” live on Good Morning America Friday.
After performing for years as “The Judds” with her mother Naomi, Wynonna began her solo career in 1992. Since then, Wynonna has sold more than 9 million albums.
Wynonna is a huge Elvis fan and says she can feel his energy move through her when she’s performing the songs he was famous for. “I feel the same nervousness slash passion that he did,” she said on Good Morning America. “I feel the vibe. I absolutely do””
