Facts about Phineas and Ferb:
- Originally broadcast as a one-episode preview on August 17, 2007 and again previewed on September 28, 2007, the series officially premiered on February 1, 2008 on Disney Channel
- As of 2015, it is the longest running disney animated show, lasting from 2007 to 2015
- It took creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh 16 years to get Phineas and Ferb (2007) on television.
- The first drawing of Phineas was on a piece of butcher’s paper, drawn with crayon in a restaurant.
- Ferb rarely talks; in fact there are many episodes in which he has no lines at all. (According to Phineas, “Ferb’s more of a man of action”.)
- Each episode contains at least one original song. The writing staff sings the song into the answering machine of Danny Jacob on Fridays to have it be magically written each Monday.
- The giant floating baby head, which was first featured in Phineas and Ferb: One Good Scare Ought to Do It! (2008), has since become a running gag in the series. According to Dan Povenmire, the baby head came from “one board panel drawn by Michael Diederich and one of our directors, Robert Hughes thought it was hilarious and made a whole bit about it. Now it shows up all the time.”
- Jaret Reddick, lead singer of the band Bowling for Soup which does the theme song for Phineas and Ferb (2007), is the voice of Danny, lead singer of the fictitious band Love Händle in the series.
- There are 104 days in summer vacation yet the whole series has 160 episodes
- Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel is the crossover episode Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble.
- Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars is a 1-hour long crossover episode of the American animated series Phineas and Ferb featured characters from Star Wars. It aired on July 26, 2014, on Disney Channel and later on Disney XD on August 4, 2014.
- Disney produced a live-action talk show where the two characters (as cartoons) interview celebrities, similarly to Space Ghost Coast to Coast, which began airing in December 2010 as a two-minute talk-show format, featuring real-life celebrities titled Take Two with Phineas and Ferb
- For a period of time Dr. Doofenshmirtz had a YouTube channel that broadcast his show “Doofenshmirtz’s Daily Dirt”
