Happy Wednesday Main Streeters! I hope all of you are well, and ready for our weekly chat. I can’t even begin to tell you how busy we’ve been lately. As most of you know, our TMSM Meet Up is Saturday, and we’ve been working hard to prepare as best as we can. Also, I have my two dear girlfriends coming to town from Michigan, who are staying with us, so I have to have my house in order for that. Oh…. AND, we’re having a staff party at our house Friday night, so, my gosh….. nothing like packing a ton of activities into a short period of time, right?
The annual meet up is something I truly look forward to now that we’re living here in Central Florida. It gives me the opportunity to actually meet (and hug, lol) a lot of people that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to see. Having staff members here again this year to help support the site and magazine means a lot too. When we lived in Michigan, it was much harder to get down here for things like this, so we’re lucky in that regard. Parties are fun, but as you know, a lot of work. We’ve been trying to get things together, prizes in order, make a schedule and plan, plus still keep the site going. Not easy, but we’re doing our best. There hasn’t been much down time lately, but we did visit the Magic Kingdom last Friday to check out some new merchandise. I managed to get my hands on the new Haunted Mansion MagicBand, and we had lunch at Pecos Bills to try the new menu they have there. Truthfully, I wasn’t sure I’d like the change, but my goodness, the food was really good and the fixin’s bar was nice too. All in all, not a bad trip to the MK, just short is all.
In the midst of planning and working, we took a break last night to meet one of our friends (and writer) Corey, who was here already, spending some Disney time with his wife and family. Dinner with him and his family was nice, and fun for the kids too, because they get along so great. I have to remind myself to stop and take it all in sometimes, or to just cut myself a break and say “it’s ok” to stop working now and then. It all will get done somehow! I’ve had a lot of feedback from members who are disappointed that they will miss the meet up, so I’m going to do my best to keep updates and a live feed going as much as I can on Saturday. Even though we’re going to have a huge crowd again this year, the people at home are important too, and I want to be sure to include everyone. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Well, that’s it for this weeks adventures! I have to get back to preparing for house guests and the meet up! Next week I’ll have the full scoop for you on how the weekend went, so stay tuned! As always, thank you for keeping up with us each and every week, I love our talks! Until next week, sending you lots of love, hugs, blessings and pixie dust! See ya real soon! ~M
