In 10 days I embark on my next Adventures By Disney (ABD) trip to Alaska. This will be my third adventure. My prior adventures were to London and Paris in 2011 and China in 2013.
The ABD experience is awesome. A few weeks before your adventure begins, your welcome pack arrives. This includes your itinerary and a special gift. For my first tour we received blue back packs with the ABD logo. On my second trip we received water resistant green backpacks that collapse unto themself. This year we received a white logo tote and a leather type portfolio which included ABD travel tags.
Upon arrival at the airport you are met by a member of the ABD team. From there you are taken to your hotel and a meet and greet with your Disney guides. The trip starts with a welcome dinner where you meet other travelers. To this day we are still friends with fellow adventures.
Each day of your tour the agenda is scheduled for fun and enjoyment with your guides taking the lead. We were able to see so many sites. On our first tour there were families and our guides did a great job with the kids. My second tour was the adult only tour however everyone was enjoying the Disney experience.
Each day your adventure ends with pins that are only available for those on the tours. The pins are tied to the day’s events. For example after visiting the Great Wall in China, we received a Mulan pin. In addition while on the tour, you receive Disney gifts. For my first tour we received aluminum bottles and travel bags. On the second tour we received a different travel bag and an ABD pen. During the adventure the guides will surprise you with pictures that are postcards that you can send to your family. During the adventure they are also taking lots of pictures and at the end you will be given a link to be able to download all of them.
For both adventures we booked a trip afterward to attend a Disney park. While in Paris we stayed on property and visited Paris Disneyland and The Walt Disney Studios. While in Hong Kong we also stayed on property and visited Hong Kong Disneyland.
I cannot wait to share my Disney Alaskan experience with The Main Street Mouse Nation.
