For those unfamiliar with Doctor Who, he is a “time lord who travels through space and time in his TARDIS, combating various enemies to save civilizations around the globe.” The TARDIS is a sentient time-traveling space ship that looks like a blue British police box (think phone booth) on the outside. The show is produced by the BBC and originally ran on British television for 26 seasons between 1963 and 1989. Doctor Who relaunched in 2005.Disney XD will be airing the 2006-2008 episodes of Doctor Who starring David Tennant as the Doctor. Since the start of the show thirteen actors have played “The Doctor”, this transition being part of the story line. Doctor Who is a Time Lord. When a Time Lord is receives an injury that would be considered fatal to other species instead of dying they instead regenerate into a new incarnation allowing the Doctor to take on a new body and new personality traits. So while each actor who plays the Doctor portrays him differently, they are all intended to be the same character and a part of the same overall story. Because the Doctor is in fact a time traveler this also means he could in fact meet himself in another time.
