Epcot is a park that changes as I get older. As a younger kid I could care less about the countries and why they were even there. I just cared about riding the rides. I’ve noticed that as I’ve gotten older, the countries have gotten so much more interesting.
When I was younger, I would only care about visiting Future World and doing all of the rides. Test Track and Soarin’ were my main priorities. I could care less about venturing into World Showcase. I would go to Norway and Mexico to go on the Maelstrom and the Gran Fiesta Tour.
Nowadays, I actually like walking through World Showcase. There are so many things to see! There are characters, like Belle and Rapunzel, and there are so many hidden gems! There is so much to see in World Showcase. It has its own hidden beauty.
Last time we went to Epcot, we took a moment to visit the Italy Pavilion. It is one of the prettiest pavilions, in my opinion. We went into one of the stores and there were these beautiful masks. They were all shapes and sizes! They each had their own beauty. If I still had this grudge against going into World Showcase, I would have never seen that part of my heritage.
In the end, Epcot is one that you have to grow into. As a young child, you don’t really care much for it. I can tell you that when I am taking pictures in World Showcase, my younger siblings are getting antsy, waiting to go on a ride. I’m so glad I have grown into enjoying Epcot! Is Epcot one of your favorite Disney parks?
About TMSM’s Teen Perspective Writer Gabby Adani:
”Hi Mainstreeters! I’m Gabby and I’m going to be writing about Disney from a teen’s perspective. But first let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m 14 years old and have had Disney Annual Passes my whole life. Disney is literally my second home. I’m an honors student and enjoy school. My favorite sport is volleyball. I play for both my middle school team and the YMCA. I am also a huge fan of Star Wars.”
