I’m sorry, I know most of my crafts lately have been Frozen inspired, but with 3 kids who all like Frozen, they keep coming up! If I had a penny for every time one of my kids said, “Do you want to build a snowman?”, I would be rich! So, I decided, “Yes let’s build a snowman!” Being that we live in Florida, building a snowman is next to impossible, unless you attend Disney Hollywood Studios Frozen Summer Fun event. And yes, we have attended this event, many, many times.
Luckily this adorable Olaf is super simple to make. Yup, that’s my theme, super simple! I’m sure most of you have these supplies on hand. So grab your kids and let’s build a snowman!
Supplies
White paper plate
Markers
Popsicle stick
Glue
Orange, black, and brown construction paper
You can do this a few different ways. You can draw and cut out your carrot nose on orange construction paper and glue it on or you can use an orange marker and color in the nose. The same goes with the eyes and mouth. You can draw them on black construction paper and cut it out or use markers and just color it on the plate. My kids preferred the cutouts for them. For the hair, just use some brown construction paper and create your own hair style and glue it on. Once your kids are satisfied with their Olaf, glue on the popsicle stick. For added flare, you can pick some branches from a tree and add them to the popsicle stick to make arms.
That’s it! You’re done! Now go put on a puppet show with your favorite snowman!
