July 21, 2014 , ,

One of our favorite things about going to a Disney Park as a kid was getting to pick out what souvenir we wanted at the end of the day. Some of the toughest decisions we had to make when we were younger was choosing between an Ear Hat or a spinning light-up Buzz Lightyear toy.

When it comes to our souvenir picking nowadays, we like to think outside the box for items to remember our Disney Parks trips. So, we decided to launch a new DIY series, where we’ll show you how to bring the spirit of the Disney Parks home in some unique, crafty ways.

First up, we decided to take one of the most essential Parks items, the guide maps, and use them to create some awesome appetizer plates. We know what you’re thinking, how exactly are you going to get a Disney Parks map to stick to a plate permanently? Well, let us introduce you to your new BFF, Mod Podge, and the art of decoupage. With just a few simple steps, you’ll have a new set of plates that are perfect for remembering your favorite Disney Parks trip.
