Tyler Slater, Social Media Content Coordinator put out some tips today in regards to seeing Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.
“You ain’t never had a friend like me!”
I don’t know about you, but every time I sit down in the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure park to watch “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular,” I know I’m in for a show-stopping stage production. This stage show has been taking viewers to “A Whole New World” for more than 10 years at the Disneyland Resort and continues to delight guests of all ages. Today, we continue the Disneyland Resort Viewing Tips series with our recommendations to keep “One Jump Ahead.”
- Arriving early – If you are planning to watch “Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular,” remember to plan to be in your seat at showtime. I always recommend arriving to the Hyperion Theater in Hollywood Land about 20 minutes prior to the showtime you want to watch. Also, the theater is quite large, so it is a good idea to show up with your entire party to make sure you all get a seat together.
- Finding the best seat for the show – On most days, guests have the option to enjoy the show from the Orchestra or Mezzanine level of the Hyperion Theater. Both offer great vantage points; so it’s truly a preference of how you like to enjoy the show. If want to see the sets and costumes up close and watch the magic unfold around you, I would recommend the Orchestra section. However, if you like to watch with a more panoramic view, and have a front row seat to a magical carpet ride (no spoilers, I promise) I would recommend the Mezzanine section.
- Enjoying the show – With more than 35 performers and 18 scene changes in a performance, you can imagine that a lot of “backstage magic” happens throughout the 45 minute show. We ask that you please silence your cell phones at show time to not distract the performers and the guests around you. If you want to record the show, you are more than welcome – just please turn off the flash and make sure no external lighting is being emitted.
- Leaving early – If you need to leave during the show, inform an usher on your way and let them know if you will be returning and they will give you a re-entry pass to the show. Remember, as soon as the show begins, there are no more guests allowed into the theater.
