Oh bother, has it really been 100 years? Winnie the Pooh is celebrating a century of honey, friendship and adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood, and Disney is marking the milestone with a lineup of new books and a sweet coffee shop takeover in New York City.
A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh was first published in October 1926, and a century later, the silly old bear is still one of the most beloved characters in the world.
A Honey Themed Coffee Shop Takeover in NYC
If you’re in New York City this weekend, Disney Publishing is taking over Daily Provisions Manhattan West from October 9 to 11 for a limited time Winnie the Pooh celebration.
Guests can stop by for Pooh inspired treats, including:
- Glazed pastries topped with golden honey
- A specialty iced coffee
- A specially themed hot coffee
The café will be decorated with Hundred Acre Wood touches and will feature a curated selection of Winnie the Pooh books all weekend long. Disney is also teasing a few surprises for visitors. The takeover is open to guests of all ages.
