October is National Pizza and Pasta Month, and honestly? It’s a great excuse to eat your way through Italy, no passport required! A trip to actual Italy isn’t always in the budget, but EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion brings the magic of these iconic dishes right to World Showcase. The architecture, the music, the smell of fresh dough in the air, it really does transport you. The Italy Pavilion at Epcot truly is my favorite, even with me being a picky eater, I always find something delicious here!
Here are the must-try spots to celebrate:
Via Napoli
This is the pizza place. Designed to mirror the architecture of Southern Italy, Via Napoli serves up authentic Neapolitan pizza the real way, fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and real Caputo flour shipped in from Italy.
The menu has something for every pizza mood. The quattro formaggi is pure cheese heaven, and if you like a little kick, the sausage-topped piccante brings the heat. The crust alone is worth the visit … thin, bubbly and chewy in all the right ways. Sounds great!
Tutto Italia
Step inside Tutto Italia and you’re surrounded by Old World decor that makes you forget you’re in a theme park. This is the spot for handmade pastas and rich, slow-simmered sauces.
Their Lasagne alla Bolognese is classic comfort food, the Fettuccine is silky and simple in the best way, and their signature Tutto Risotto is the dish people talk about long after they’ve left. It’s the kind of meal that makes you slow down and savor.. very Italian.
Don’t Skip the Little Bites
While you’re in the pavilion, keep an eye out for the smaller spots too! A glass of wine, a scoop of gelato, a slice to go. Some of the best Italy Pavilion memories are the unplanned ones. Buon Appetito!
