Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced that Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is returning in 2027, and this year’s celebration runs for nearly two full months. Mark your calendars — the fun kicks off February 6 and runs all the way through March 27, 2027.
A Celebration Like No Other
Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida is one of the most beloved seasonal events at any Orlando theme park, and for good reason. The event brings together the vibrant spirit of New Orleans with a worldwide cultural celebration, wrapping it all into an experience that is equal parts festive, flavorful, and flat out fun.
Guests can expect the iconic Mardi Gras parade rolling through Universal Studios Florida, complete with colorful floats and beads by the handful. If you have never had the experience of leaning over a railing and catching beads thrown from a parade float, this is your chance — and there are plenty to go around.

Live Music and Entertainment
No Mardi Gras would be complete without music, and Universal delivers on that front with live concert performances throughout the event. The lineup has not been fully revealed yet, but if past years are any indication, guests can expect a diverse mix of artists performing on the park’s outdoor stage.
