Avengers: Endgame Encore is in theaters now, and thanks to our friends over at Comicbook.com, we have a full breakdown of every new bonus scene included in the re-release — and they are setting up Avengers: Doomsday in a massive way.
Here is everything that happens.
Scene 1: Steve Rogers and Loki at the End of Time
Remember that beautiful moment when Steve Rogers finally gets his dance with Peggy Carter? That peaceful, emotional scene gets interrupted in a big way in Endgame Encore. Loki arrives — wearing his Time Variance Authority uniform — looking very serious and very purposeful. The scene strongly suggests that Loki is about to recruit Steve Rogers into the growing multiverse conflict, tying the two characters directly into what is coming in Avengers: Doomsday.
Scene 2: Doctor Doom Comes for Bruce Banner
This one is absolutely chilling. Bruce Banner is shown recording a video blog from deep inside an underground military facility, explaining his work on a gamma suppression serum. Then Doctor Doom shows up. Doom does not knock. He simply arrives, “collects” Banner, and teleports him away — leaving nothing behind but a mystical sigil burned into the floor. This scene fuels rumors that Doom is actively assembling a group of powerful individuals for his own plans, and seeing him move against Bruce Banner is genuinely unsettling.
Scene 3: The TVA Watches the Multiverse Collapse
The third new scene shifts to the Time Variance Authority, where Mobius and O.B. watch in horror as universes begin colliding and destroying each other at a catastrophic scale. We are talking about 3,000 worlds dying in just a matter of moments. This appears to directly set up the opening of Avengers: Doomsday, and according to Comicbook.com, could include the much rumored destruction of the Fox X-Men universe as part of the multiversal collapse.
