Disney Parks released a stunning grand opening video on YouTube today celebrating the debut, and the excitement is absolutely real. To kick things off in the most magical way possible, Disney gathered an incredible assembly of 60 Disney Parks characters for a once in a lifetime celebration inspired by the beloved Disney short film Once Upon a Studio. We are talking iconic favorites, rare character appearances, and fan favorites all coming together in one unforgettable moment to welcome this brand new attraction dedicated to the wonder, creativity, and legacy of Disney animation.
What Is The Magic of Disney Animation?
Nestled in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Magic of Disney Animation is a love letter to over 100 years of Disney storytelling and artistry. The attraction features several unique experiences all under one roof:
Olaf Draws invites guests of all ages to try their hand at sketching beloved Disney characters with guidance from animator Olaf. You will leave with a new appreciation for the art form and maybe a drawing you are actually proud of!
Off the Page! is a character meet and greet experience that takes you through different spaces each highlighting a specific part of the animation process. This is a fantastic opportunity to get those character photos and really soak in how Disney stories are brought to life.
Drawn to Wonderland is an immersive playground inspired by the iconic concept art of Mary Blair for Alice in Wonderland. Younger guests especially are going to fall in love with this imaginative space.
Disney Once Upon a Studio Theater brings guests into a short film experience featuring Mickey Mouse and an array of classic Disney characters reuniting to celebrate the magic of animation. Bring tissues.
