If you’re a fan of those beloved Mickey-shaped beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, don’t panic — your favorite treat isn’t going anywhere for good. But you will need to know where to find them starting this fall, because Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge is closing for a multi-month refurbishment.
What’s Happening?
Disney has announced that Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will close beginning October 6, 2026, for refurbishment. While Disney hasn’t shared the specific details of what work will be done during the renovation, the closure is expected to last several months — with staggered reopening dates for the two spaces.
- Café is expected to reopen in December 2026
- Lounge is expected to reopen in January 2027
Where Are the Beignets Going?
Here’s the good news for beignet lovers: those iconic Mickey-shaped beignets and coffee service will be temporarily available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory the resort’s quick-service dining location, located just a few steps away from the café. So you won’t have to go far to get your fix!
The temporary menu will include:
- Mickey-shaped beignets
- Specialty coffee options
- Ghoulish Delight seasonal beignets (available through November 1 for the Halloween season)
Once the café reopens in December, beignets and coffee will return to their original home at Scat Cat’s Club Café.
What About Drinks?
For guests who love the lounge experience, Disney will operate a temporary bar near the café from 5 PM to 11 PM nightly during the closure period. Specific menu and drink details haven’t been announced yet. Since the lounge closure extends through January 2027, the temporary bar may continue even after the café reopens in December.
If you have a stay at Port Orleans – French Quarter planned this fall or winter, just keep this in mind:
- Beignets and coffee are still available; just head to Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory
- Evening drinks are still on the table at the temporary bar location from 5–11 PM
- The café should be back in time for the holidays in December
- Full lounge service returns in January 2027
Port Orleans – French Quarter remains one of the most charming resorts on Disney property, and this refurbishment should only make it better. In the meantime, the beignets are still flowing — and with the Ghoulish Delight version in the mix through Halloween, it’s actually a pretty sweet time to visit!
