Disney just revealed a stunning new limited-edition doll, and this one is a dream come true for collectors. The Cinderella Limited Edition Doll celebrating Walt Disney World’s 55th Anniversary is inspired by one of the park’s most beloved opening day attractions, the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, and every single detail of her design pays tribute to the magic of Fantasyland. The doll goes on sale September 7 at 8 a.m. PST on DisneyStore.com and will also be available later at select Walt Disney World Resort locations. With only 5,000 made, you will want to act fast.
The centerpiece of the doll is her breathtaking ballgown, and the design team put serious thought into every inch of it. The silhouette is a classic ball gown, but the skirt takes its shape from the top of the carrousel itself, complete with embroidered golden and metallic lavender criss-cross detailing and tiny gemstone studs. Galloping carrousel horses line the hem of the skirt, and embroidered “C” monograms in gold and metallic thread run throughout. Her sparkling diamond-stitched skirt, satin bodice, and sheer organza sleeves round out the look, while her hair is styled in her signature bun with a satin headband. She also wears dainty white gloves, delicate drop earrings, and a golden necklace with a gemstone pendant that was directly inspired by the carved filigree details found on the carrousel itself.
Perhaps the most show-stopping detail is her shoes. Cinderella has traded in her classic glass slippers for fashion-forward heels featuring blue bows, gold accents, and ornate carrousel horses as the heel piece. The packaging is just as spectacular, with window display presentation, golden foil decoration, ribbon ties, and text reading “Walt Disney World 55th Anniversary,” all designed to feel like you are gazing up at Cinderella Castle from the heart of Fantasyland. The doll is fully poseable and comes with a certificate of verification and a display stand.
