The Elf on the Shelf, created by The Lumistella Company, has announced its first-ever inbound licensing collaboration, teaming up with Disney for a brand-new collection debuting in Fall 2026.
This marks a major milestone for the company. While Lumistella has licensed its own intellectual property to numerous partners over the years, it has never before incorporated another major entertainment brand into the world of Scout Elves.
The inaugural Disney x The Elf on the Shelf collection will feature four popular franchises: Mickey Mouse & Friends, Olaf from Frozen, Disney Princesses, and Spider-Man from Marvel.
Families can look forward to themed outfits, props, accessories, kits, and carriers designed to let Scout Elves showcase the same characters children love year-round. Products will range in price from $12.95 to $25.95.
When Will the Disney Elf on the Shelf Collection Launch?
Pre-sales are expected to begin on Amazon in mid-July 2026, with the official launch scheduled for September 15, 2026. The collection will also be available through The Santa Store and later at major retailers including Target, Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, and Michaels.
According to Lumistella co-CEO and co-founder Chanda Bell, the idea grew from years of seeing families customize their Scout Elves to reflect the characters their children already adored.
Her fellow co-founder, Christa Pitts, explained that Disney was a natural choice because both brands are centered around creating joyful family memories. She also noted that many families already use Scout Elves to reveal surprise trips to Disney Parks during the holiday season.
The collaboration may only be the beginning. Pitts hinted that additional Disney characters and stories could be added to the collection in future years, opening the door to even more magical possibilities.
