Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, was definitely a highlight of my cruise on the Wish. We woke up to beautiful weather to explore this island paradise.
After some breakfast in Marceline Market, our group headed off the ship and were greeted by two characters, Captain Hook and Smee. After a quick picture with them, we headed for the tram. The tram runs on a regular schedule and takes you to the other end of the island. Our first stop was Serenity Bay, the adults only beach. They have a bar there for drinks and snacks and a place to get the barbeque lunch. As soon as we got settled, we headed for the water. It was amazing! The water was so clear we could see all the way to the bottom! There were some amazing shells and sea creatures to look at.
We got out of the ocean and headed for a barbeque lunch. There was a nice variety of food and nobody left hungry or without enough ice cream.
On the way back from Serenity Bay, we looked at the shops and picked up some treasures to take home with us. Shopping in the island is always a good time!
We took some pictures at Mount Rushmore (Super cute Disney character inspired rocks.) and the beautiful boat beach with a great view of the ship.
We were not ready to get back on the ship yet, so we went back into the ocean at the family beach. Again, the water was absolutely gorgeous and felt amazing.
Alas, it was time to go back the ship. We didn’t want to, but we were very close and it was easy to get to. We took a few last-minute pictures on the stunning beach, turned in our towels and got ready for the evening.
Have you been to this paradise? What was your favorite part?
