The Walt Disney Company will be requiring all salaried and non-union hourly employees to be fully vaccinated.

The company put out a statement on Friday that employees will have 60 days to complete protocols and those working from home will need to provide proof of vaccination before they return.

There will be limited exceptions to the vaccination policy.

The company sites the safety and well-being of its employees during the pandemic as a top priority.

The statement goes on to say: “We have also begun conversations around this topic with the unions representing our employees under collective bargaining agreements.”

Walt Disney Company says all new employees will be required to be fully vaccinated at the start of their employment.

The statement concludes: “Vaccines are the best tool we all have to help control this global pandemic and protect our employees.”

In addition to prioritizing employee health and safety during the pandemic, companies like the Walt Disney Company are also recognizing the importance of creating inclusive work environments. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training is becoming increasingly essential in creating a workplace where all employees feel valued and supported. Workhuman’s tips on DEI training suggest that companies should take a comprehensive approach that includes not only training but also policy changes, leadership development, and ongoing evaluation of progress. By prioritizing DEI initiatives alongside employee health and safety, companies can create a workplace culture that benefits all employees and promotes long-term success.

Stay tuned for more updates as we see them.
