Disneyland’s New Theme Park Reservation System Opens Ahead of Resort’s Reopening

Are you planning to visit Disneyland Resort on April 30, when it officially reopens following its temporary closure? Well, then it’s time to read up on the steps necessary to book your spot!

Disneyland Resort’s new theme park reservation system opened Monday morning for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. It’s worth noting that this booking period was only for guests with existing valid theme park tickets to begin making reservations for the days that their ticket is valid.

Theme park ticket sales will resume on April 15. This will also be the day guests without park tickets may start purchasing tickets and making park reservations.

For those not aware, following Disneyland Resort’s official reopening of its theme parks, all guests aged three and up will be required to have a reservation and a valid admission ticket for the same park on the same date prior to visiting. Similar to Walt Disney World’s reservation system, reservations are limited and subject to availability.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that, until further notice, only California residents are permitted to visit the parks and in groups no larger than three households. These rules follow current state guidelines set in place for theme parks.

Here are a few key dates park officials said to keep in mind:

April 12 (Today): The theme park reservation system opened at 8 a.m. PT (on April 12) for guests who already have valid theme park tickets to begin making park reservations.

April 15: Theme park ticket sales will resume no earlier than 8 a.m. PT on April 15, and guests without park tickets may begin purchasing tickets and making park reservations.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks are scheduled to open at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Similar to Walt Disney World, FASTPASS and Disney MaxPass services are suspended for the time being and are not available for purchase or use. Select attractions and certain experiences that draw large group gatherings-such as nighttime spectaculars and parades are also set to return at a later date.
