Happy Halloween! Ok, well not exactly… but this week Halloween began at Disney! Let’s get caught up, shall we?
As everyone knows, the Halloween festivities are certainly not like what they usually are at Walt Disney World this year. Normally we are a month in to the Halloween parties already, but this year there are no parties to be had. However, yesterday at Magic Kingdom they kicked off modified Halloween festivities. I got to attend an event and see the fall decorations before the park opened. See pic above! Just seeing the pumpkins up and down Main Street was amazing. A welcomed sight for sure, things felt “normal” so to speak. We got to see an exclusive look at the Halloween food and merchandise, and learn more about the special cavalcades which are happening now through Halloween at Magic Kingdom. The Nightmare Before Christmas cavalcade was my favorite, I will post the video below.
Let’s see, what else is going on? Well we have been busy as usual. Our new clothing line is doing well but it sure is keeping us occupied. I am also looking ahead when it comes to planning our big meet up next month. Time seems to be going really fast and before we know it October 24 will be here. This is the 10 year celebration of our site so we want to make sure that meet up weekend is a good one. I of course was concerned because things are so different this year, but people still wanted to get together and have that little bit of normal that we have every fall. If you’re going to be around, we will be at Epcot on October 24th and at House of Blues on October 25th! We’d love to see you!
This coming weekend we are supposed to get in a little more Disney time. Because of the reservation system we don’t get to go to the parks as often as before, but we try! Also Universal Studios has some Halloween festivities happening this weekend which might also be an option. Now if only the weather would cool down a pinch, it would feel much more like the spooky season! I honestly miss this time of year in Michigan. The fall season up north was always a favorite, but we make the best of it here too!
Well, that’s it for this week. As always, thank you all for keeping up with us every week, I appreciate it so much. Until next time, sending you lots of love, blessings and pixie dust. See ya real soon! -M
