Halloween Horror Nights fans–the horror is not all lost this year as Universal Orlando will be offering freakish frights after all! Beginning this weekend, daytime guests to Universal Studios Florida will be able to visit two heart-pounding haunted houses. These include Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives!
Per the official Universal Orlando website, guests to the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy house can experience a darker ritual hidden by the innocent traditions of the tooth fairy where all children must give up their baby teeth to goblinesque tooth fairies or pay a gruesome price. The house takes place in an old manor that has been overrun by yellow-clawed fiends who extract teeth by force.
In Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives!, guests get to experience the fateful night Frankenstein was rejected by his bride. But now, she’s stepping out of the shadows to bring him back and there’s nothing she won’t do as she sharpens her brilliance by experimenting on unsuspecting victims.
For those wondering how guests will be able to experience these attractions, Universal will be offering a virtual line experience. Upon entering property, guests can click onto their official Universal Orlando Resort apps on their smartphones to select their return times for their groups.
Similar to HHN, Universal warns that these halloween haunted houses may be too intense for young children and they are not recommended for guests under the age of 13.
In addition to these new haunted houses, guests will also be able to wear costumes to the parks. Of course, it’s worth noting that all visitors must abide by the company’s costume guidelines, which can be found here.
Younger guests may not be able to enjoy these haunted houses. However, they can take part in Trick-or-Treating at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. All you have to do is grab a free trick-or-treat bag for your little one to go door-to-door collecting tasty treats from participating retail stores this weekend. These can be located by pumpkin stickers marking each location. (This is for guests aged 12 years or younger and they must be with an adult to participate. One trick-or-treat bag per guest and one fill per participating location.)
