TMSM’s Adventures in Florida Living ~ It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year #tmsmmeetup

Happy Wednesday…. and Happy Meet Up Week! Meet Up Weekend is almost here, and it’s hands down my favorite part of the year when it comes to The Main Street Mouse.  It’s our time for you, our readers and followers.  A time for my staff and I to say thank you for the love and support. But also a time for lots of fun! Let’s get caught up on the past week first!

It’s been a whirlwind since we spoke last Wednesday.  The word “busy” doesn’t begin to cover it, and this week has been the same.  When I get busy with work and media events, I usually have a pinch of an internal meltdown.  You know I’m honest with you, so I’m fine telling you that.  I put SO much pressure on myself to get things done and do a GOOD job, so it’s my own fault. It’s just part of the job, and my personality I suppose.  Last Saturday evening, I went to Art Smith’s at Disney Springs with some of my friends from “work” so to speak.  We all have our “people” that we work with that we tend to gravitate to, and that’s a good thing.  So, John, Sean and Cassidy and I had a nice evening of snacks and cocktails.  I was trying to enjoy it because I knew that the crazy week was about to kick off, we had a great time.

On Monday evening, we had a very special guest on TMSM Weekly Live… Mark Daniel. You know Mark, from Disney Parks live feeds, the Holiday specials, Star Wars events, etc. He’s got quite an impressive career with Disney, and I was happy that he was going to come on the show to tell us some of his amazing stories. I have to say, Mark didn’t disappoint. He’s a wealth of information, and we were really grateful that he spent the evening with us and our viewers. I’m going to of course link the show below, just in case you missed it! Last night, we had a media invite at Animal Kingdom for Disney After Hours. This is a separate ticket event, that allows guests to explore the park minus the crowds. No lines for rides either, which is a plus. Also, there is free ice cream, popcorn and drinks, which makes it even better. We were able to ride the Na’vi River Journey twice and walk right on to Flight of Passage. I highly recommend these after hours events, they’re really great! Also yesterday….

My new children’s book, “How Many Sleeps Till Disney?” is now available on Amazon and on our site. The premise of the book is that a special little girl named Gracie, finds out that she’s finally going to be vacationing at Disney World. Her parents give her a book to count down how many “sleeps” are left until she gets to leave. It’s a great book for anyone who has kids who are getting ready to visit a Disney Park, or even for little ones who dream of going. The book was written by me, illustrated by Scott, and edited by my mother. A true family effort. The book is dedicated to my children… the two who are with me, and the two who are angels. Gracie is our sweetheart who we lost last year. This book is a way to keep her alive, and give her the adventures that she never got to have. To my absolute delight, when I got up this morning and looked on Amazon, the book was number one in new releases in its category. I am humbled and honored, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all. You can get the book on Amazon if you search my name, Michele Atwood. There is also a link on our site to purchase it. I hope you love it as much as we do!

That’s it for this week! I still have SO much to do, so stay tuned all weekend long! I hope to do some live feeds from the various meet up spots, so I hope you watch along with us. Thank you all so much for the love and support that you continuously give me and our site, I’m more grateful than you’ll ever know. Until next time, sending you love, blessings and pixie dust. See ya real soon! ~M
