There is a chill in the air, can you feel it? It’s the magical chill that can be felt from Mickey’s Not- So-Scary Halloween Party that is actually not so far away. Walt Disney World Resort recently released the dates for 2018, and the Disney Parks Moms Panelists are as excited as a child preparing for trick-or-treating.

The 2018 dates are:

  • August 17, 24, 28 and 31
  • September 3, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
  • October 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30 and 31

As Stephanie S. explains, the popular party is a special ticketed event. “The party officially begins at 7:00, however guests with tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are often allowed early entry to Magic Kingdom Park. If you would like to enter Magic Kingdom Park any earlier, you will need a regular theme park ticket.”

Ticket prices vary based on event night. There is a $10 advance purchase discount available for all event dates with the exception of October 31, 2018, when full day-of purchase price will apply. Be sure to purchase your tickets online and after you buy them, remember they can also be linked to your MagicBand!

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes, but as Lynne C. reminds, there are certain rules regarding the costumes you can and cannot wear. Adults, feel free to paint your face, but no masks for guests 14 years of age or older.

What should little ones expect? As the name suggests, it truly is a night of “Not-So-Scary” fun, but some may wonder if it might be too much for the tiniest of guests. Beth S. believes if your children are comfortable walking around Magic Kingdom Park on a non-Halloween-themed night, they will be super excited to do so during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party while dressed up in costume and having their treat bag filled with candy! “With that being said, you know your little pumpkins best. I recommend searching online for other guests’ family videos of this fun evening to give you an even better idea of what the atmosphere is like. My family had so much fun and can’t wait to experience it again!”

Along with costumes and trick-or-treating, guests are also in for a spooktacular treat with the “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular” and the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks show. A new dance show is set for 2018, Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, as well as new twists on several beloved attractions. Take a fresh spin on the Mad Tea Party and join rookie pirates as they take on the search for “Gunpowder Pete” at Pirates of the Caribbean. On Space Mountain you will turn and twist through space with an all-new soundtrack.

It truly is an amazing Halloween event, and one Anna S. encourages everyone to make it a point to attend. “It’s fun. I think you can see and do more during the party than during a day in the park, and you’ll make memories you’ll have for a lifetime.”
