Mickey and Friends are ready for kickoff. Disney and the NFL have teamed up on a brand new lineup of Mickey and Friends apparel, collectibles, accessories, and fan gear, with products for all 32 NFL teams plus Super Bowl LXI.
The collection arrives as Disney and ESPN build toward a historic Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles. New products are available starting today, with more drops rolling out throughout the NFL season at NFLShop.com, Fanatics.com, DisneyStore.com, and select retailers nationwide.
Why Disney and the NFL Are Teaming Up Now
This season is a big one for Disney and football. For the first time, the Super Bowl will air on ESPN and ABC and stream on Disney+, and ESPN is celebrating its road to the big game with a yearlong campaign. It also marks the 40th anniversary of Disney’s famous “What’s Next” Super Bowl campaign, which ends with the traditional championship celebration at Disneyland Resort.
Paul Gitter, executive vice president of global licensing at Disney Consumer Products, said sports is a growing area for the company and that the new products give fans another way to connect with the teams and athletes they love. Casey Collins, senior vice president of consumer products and licensing at the NFL, called this partnership one of “the most exciting chapters in our shared history” for the two brands.
