There is a lot of magic behind the magic at Disney, and a new ad from The Walt Disney Company is shining a spotlight on just how far that reach extends across the United States.

The campaign, centered around authentic sounds from Disney’s theme parks, highlights something that often goes unnoticed by guests enjoying their vacations the enormous network of American workers, small businesses, and family-owned companies that make Disney’s world run every single day.
The Numbers Are Staggering

According to The Walt Disney Company, Disney supports more than 403,000 jobs across the country and generates a $67 billion annual economic impact in the United States. Disney Experiences works with thousands of businesses in all 50 states, and many of them are small or family-owned operations that have grown alongside the company for decades.
That is not just a corporate talking point. It is a relationship story that stretches back to the very opening of Walt Disney World in 1971.
The Small Businesses Behind the Magic
The ad puts a face on that impact by featuring real supplier partners who have been part of the Disney family for years.
Le Chef Bakery out of Montebello, California has been supplying baked goods to Disney for more than 20 years. Southeast Dairy Processors in Tampa, Florida has been a dairy partner since Walt Disney World first opened its gates. Chef’s Garden, a family-owned produce farm in Huron, Ohio, has been growing food for Disney guests for over two decades. And Sobel Westex in Las Vegas has provided linens across Disney properties for more than 20 years as well.
These are not giant corporations. They are the kind of businesses that represent the backbone of American industry, and Disney has been investing in them for generations.
A Creative Approach That Hits Different
What makes this campaign stand out is how it was made. Associate Producer Nicole Figueroa-Sierra described the vision this way: “I wanted the ad to take viewers through a day at Disney — what that feels like, but also what that sounds like.”

Music Supervisor Evelin Garcia added that the team was “looking for a song that would resonate whether you were visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland,” making it clear the campaign was designed to speak to every Disney fan, not just one park’s audience.

Public Affairs Manager Shaina Mirlis summed up the spirit of the whole effort: “That history includes helping the people and small businesses we grow right along with us.”

For those of us who love everything Disney, this is a reminder that a trip to the parks is about so much more than rides and characters. Every meal, every bed you sleep in, every pastry you pick up on Main Street U.S.A. is connected to a real American business and real American workers who have dedicated years to being part of something bigger.
The magic is real. And apparently, so is the $67 billion impact behind it.
