Great news for Vampirina fans; Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is returning for a second season, and it’s coming just in time for Halloween! The music-driven live-action series will premiere its sophomore season on October 6th on Disney Channel, with the full season streaming the very next day on Disney+.
And if the new season announcement wasn’t exciting enough, Disney has also revealed some fantastic new additions to the cast that are sure to get fans buzzing!
Exciting New and Returning Faces
Jodie Sweetin (Full House) and Ava Jean (Camp Rock 3) are joining the fun as recurring guest stars for Season 2. Hollywood Records artist Hudson Stone (Camp Rock 3, The Mickey Mouse Club pilot) will also guest star, and fan-favorite Kim Coles (Living Single) returns as Dean Merriweather. It’s quite the lineup!
What’s in Store for Season 2?
When we last left Vee and her friends, she had just performed for the entire school in front of her idol, Millie Eyelash and accidentally released a horde of monsters previously imprisoned in the mirror realm. No big deal, right?
Season 2 picks right back up with Vee and her gang returning to Wilson Hall with new musical dreams and a whole new set of challenges. This time around, they’ll also be grappling with a mysterious prophecy that says Vee and Elijah can never be together. Drama, monsters, and music; season 2 is shaping up to be a wild ride!
The series continues to star Kenzi Richardson as the edgy and lovable Vee, Jiwon Lee as her kind and bubbly roommate Sophie, Shaun Dixon as the laid-back Elijah, Milo Maharlika as the 600-year-old ghost Demi, and Faith Hedley as the super-talented legacy student Britney.
The Creative Team Behind the Magic
Vampirina: Teenage Vampire comes from an incredibly talented group of creators. Showrunners Dan Cross and David Hoge — the team behind Julie and the Phantoms; lead the charge, with Tim Federle (creator of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) serving as executive producer alongside Bronwyn North-Reist and Meg Deloatch (Family Reunion). The series was developed for television by Randi Barnes.
