It is with a very heavy heart that we share some truly sad news with the Disney community. Carla Jeffery, best known to Disney fans as the bubbly and lovable Bree in the ZOMBIES franchise, passed away on September 1, 2026. She was just 33 years old.
Her longtime talent agency, Alexander’s Talent Management, announced her passing in a heartfelt statement. The agency had represented Carla since she was just 12 years old, more than two decades, and their words beautifully captured the kind of person she was.
“Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Jeffery. For more than 20 years, Carla was part of the Alexanders Talent Management family, and watching her grow from a talented young girl into the beautiful, vibrant woman and actress she became was an incredible privilege. We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went.”
The statement added, “Carla was more than a client; she was family.”
No cause of death has been publicly disclosed. The agency has asked that the privacy of Carla’s family and loved ones be respected during this incredibly difficult time.
A Disney Fan Favorite
To a generation of Disney Channel fans, Carla Jeffery will always be Bree Addison’s spirited, funny, and fiercely loyal best friend at Seabrook High. She first brought the character to life in the original ZOMBIES in 2018 and returned for ZOMBIES 2 and ZOMBIES 3, charming audiences every step of the way. Most recently, she continued the role by voicing Bree in ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.
Her Disney connections went beyond the ZOMBIES franchise as well. Jeffery also appeared in beloved Disney Channel series including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up!, and Best Friends Whenever.
Outside of Disney, Carla had an impressive range of credits, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Southland, American Vandal, iCarly, and Game Shakers. She began her acting journey at age 12 with a role in the 2006 film Phat Girlz. She was also the twin sister of actor Carlon Jeffery, who starred in Disney Channel‘s A.N.T. Farm.
Carla Jeffery was a bright light — on screen and off. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, castmates, and everyone whose life she touched.
