We have some shocking and sad news to share today. The legend singer, actress and entrepreneur, Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 80. Her head of security and family member just announced the news on her instagram.
Dolly had recently rescheduled some shows due to health issues but nothing was said about what she was facing. Dolly told PEOPLE last week … “As I’ve shared in video messages throughout the past year, I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn’t pay attention to when I was watching over Carl,” referring to her husband’s March 2025 death. Dolly also canceled a Dollywood appearance earlier this month after her doctor advised her not to travel while she dealt with dehydration and occasional dizziness.
Dolly Parton has a career spanning over six decades. From music to her theme park, Dollywood, she’s beloved everywhere. She also made an appearance on Hannah Montana with Miley Cyrus, her Goddaughter. The relationship started because Dolly was close friends with Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, after they toured together in the early 1990s. Although we are unsure as to what happened, our hearts are broken at the loss of this wonderful lady and we all will miss her very much. Thank you Dolly, for everything.
