Disney Eats has announced that Big Top Souvenirs will reopen on Friday, August 21, 2026, with a colorful assortment of “sweet surprises and tasty treats.” The location has been closed since February while undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
Big Top Souvenirs Returns to Storybook Circus
Located inside the giant circus tent in the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland, Big Top Souvenirs combines Disney shopping with a confectionery filled with freshly prepared treats.
The location’s whimsical circus theme makes it a natural stop for families visiting Dumbo the Flying Elephant, The Barnstormer, Casey Jr. Splash ’N’ Soak Station, and the nearby character experiences at Pete’s Silly Sideshow.
Big Top Souvenirs closed on February 20, 2026, as Disney began refurbishing the building. In recent weeks, guests have seen visible signs of progress, including the removal of exterior scaffolding and the return of the location’s refreshed marquee.
New Disney Treats Are Coming
Disney Eats offered a tempting preview of the treats guests can expect when the location reopens. The colorful lineup appears to include several circus-inspired and character-themed creations, including:
- Mickey-shaped churro caramel apple
- Dumbo caramel apple
- Dumbo sandwich cookie
- Character marshmallow pops
- Decorated cupcakes
- Colorful circus chips
The Dumbo-inspired treats are especially fitting for the shop’s location in Storybook Circus. From detailed caramel apples to decorated cookies and cupcakes, the assortment continues Disney’s tradition of turning classic characters into creative theme park snacks. Disney has not yet released pricing or confirmed whether every previewed treat will be available daily. As with most specialty Disney snacks, selections and availability may change.
More Than Just a Sweet Shop
Although the fresh treats are receiving plenty of attention, Big Top Souvenirs is also a full retail location. Guests have traditionally found Disney apparel, toys, accessories, collectibles, souvenirs, and other vacation essentials inside the spacious circus tent.
