Remember me? Pixar’s Coco has officially arrived in Fortnite! To celebrate Día de los Muertos, Miguel’s lovable Xoloitzcuintle Dante is now available as a sidekick in the Fortnite Item Shop, along with the movie’s famous guitar. It’s the first official Coco collaboration in Fortnite.
What’s in the Coco Collection
- Dante Sidekick: Goofy, loyal Dante tags along with you in matches and reacts to the world around you
- Alebrije Dante: Dante’s glowing, colorful spirit guide form from the movie
- Alebrije Guitar: Miguel’s guitar, reimagined in bright alebrije colors, which works as a pickaxe, a back bling and a playable instrument in Fortnite Festival
- Marigold Chaser Emote: A swirl of marigold petals inspired by the movie’s glowing Marigold Bridge
- Dante’s Grin Emoticon and Papel Heart Reaction
As you play with Dante, you’ll unlock extra cosmetics and emotes for both you and your new four legged friend.
How Much Does Dante Cost in Fortnite?
Here’s what the Coco items cost in the Fortnite Item Shop:
- Dante Bundle: 1,800 V-Bucks (discounted from 2,300), which includes Dante and the Alebrije Guitar
- Dante on his own: 1,500 V-Bucks, with his emoticon, reaction and emote
- Alebrije Guitar on its own: 800 V-Bucks
The bundle is the best deal if you want both, saving you 500 V-Bucks. The Coco items are expected to stay in the Item Shop through November 7, so don’t wait too long if you want Dante by your side.
More Coco Is on the Way
This won’t be the last we see of Dante. Disney and Pixar announced at D23 that Coco 2 is coming to theaters in November 2029, with Benjamin Bratt returning as Ernesto de la Cruz. In the meantime, the original Coco is streaming on Disney+.
