What the Story Is About

The issue is set shortly before the events of Rogue One. Director Orson Krennic’s negotiations with the gem rich planet Harreld have hit a wall. Its leader, Harqque, refuses to let the Empire mine the planet’s rare kyber crystals, which are needed to power the Death Star’s superlaser. When the Emperor learns of Krennic’s failure, he sends his most trusted enforcer, Darth Vader, to get the kyber by any means necessary.
