Disney Holidays are not just about what is happening in the parks, celebrate from your living room too! Two big dates for your calendar at home and in the parks are now set, and they make a perfect holiday pair! I’m so excited, this is my favorite season! Here’s what you need to know!

First up, the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade returns to ABC on Christmas morning, Friday, December 25 at 10am ET and 9am CT. The parade brings magical star studded performances from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California right into your living room. It’s such a wonderful Christmas morning tradition. If you want to see it in person, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be performed during the daytime at Magic Kingdom on Tuesday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 11 to film for the TV special, giving regular park guests a rare daytime look at the parade.

Then, when the holidays wrap up, it is time to ring in the new year Disney style. Walt Disney World has released its New Year’s Eve fireworks schedule, and there are shows across three parks.
At Magic Kingdom, Fantasy in the Sky will run on both Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday, December 31, with two performances each night at 6:30pm and 11:50pm. That means four chances to catch it. At EPCOT, Luminous: The Symphony of Us will light up the sky at 6:30pm on December 31, followed by a special Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration at 11:54pm. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a New Year countdown fireworks show will go off at 11:57pm on December 31.
The early 6:30pm shows at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are great family friendly options if you want the fireworks magic without staying up until midnight. New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year at the resort, so pick your park in advance, arrive early, and be ready for slow exits after midnight. The crowds are crazy once the fireworks are done!
So there you have it! Christmas morning parade on the TV, New Year’s Eve fireworks under the castle or around the lagoon. Two magical dates, one unforgettable holiday season! Stay tuned to The Main Street Mouse for more, we are just getting started! For more information about the holidays, check out our Christmas at Walt Disney World 2026 guide.
