New Avengers: Doomsday TV Spot Puts Steve Rogers Back With Thor’s Hammer as Three Captain Americas Team Up

New Avengers Doomsday Tv Spot Puts Steve Rogers Back with Thors Hammer As Three Captain Americas Team UpAvengers, assemble… again! Marvel Studios just released a new 30 second TV spot for Avengers: Doomsday, and it delivers a moment fans have been waiting years to see: Steve Rogers wielding Thor’s hammer once more. The Russo Brothers’ epic arrives in theaters December 18, 2026.

Steve Rogers Is Worthy Again

The spot opens with Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers holding Thor’s hammer Mjölnir, a callback to one of the biggest crowd pleasing moments in Avengers: Endgame. Cap turns to Thor and simply says, “Let’s go.”

Then comes the warning. Thor tells the team, “Doom will tear this world apart.”

“3 Teams” and a Call to Stand Together

The spot flashes a message teasing three teams, which fits with what Marvel has told us about the film bringing heroes from three different universes together. As we see glimpses of the heroes, Thor delivers the spot’s rallying cry: “Team up and stand together.”

How Many Captain Americas Is Too Many?

Of course, Marvel had to add some humor. Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man tries to wrap up the plan, saying, “Then it’s settled, right, Cap?” The camera turns to Steve Rogers, but Ant-Man looks over at Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, the current Captain America, and corrects himself: “I mean, right, Cap?”

That’s when Wyatt Russell’s John Walker, the U.S. Agent, jumps in: “I was Captain for a minute.” Ant-Man’s solution? “Captains America.”

Three Captain Americas in one room? That is the most Marvel thing we have ever heard.

“This Doesn’t Bother You?”

The spot ends with Steve holding up the hammer and asking Thor, “This doesn’t bother you?” Thor’s answer is perfect: “You know it does.” Then the two heroes take off into the sky together.

What Is Avengers: Doomsday About?

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday sets heroes from three different universes on a collision course as they face an existential threat. At the center of it all is Victor Von Doom, the ruler of Latveria and a master of magic and technology, played by Robert Downey Jr.

The massive cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Channing Tatum, Tom Hiddleston and Lewis Pullman.
