Grab your bestie and make your predictions! The Banana Ball City Selection Show is happening tonight, Thursday, October 15, at 6 p.m. ET, and the Savannah Bananas will reveal the full 2027 World Tour schedule, including the cities they’ll visit next year. If you’ve been hoping to see Banana Ball in person, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Watch the City Selection Show
The show airs live at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and streams on the official Banana Ball YouTube channel. This is the second annual City Selection Show, and the in person event is already sold out.
The Bananas are promising some big surprises. In their words, fans should “expect the 2027 World Tour to be the biggest yet!” Reports say the tour will include 75 locations, chosen from more than 300 bids submitted by cities across the country.
How to Get Banana Ball Tickets for 2027
Here’s the question everyone is asking. Banana Ball tickets are sold through a Ticket Lottery List, not a regular on sale.
- When it opens: The 2027 Ticket Lottery List opens immediately after tonight’s show ends. The link will be everywhere: on the Banana Ball website, their social media, and the livestream.
- When it closes: October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- Does signing up early help? No. When you join doesn’t affect your chances, because the drawing is completely random.
- How it works: Joining the list doesn’t guarantee tickets. Before each event, a random drawing picks fans who will get the chance to buy available tickets. If you’re selected, you’ll be contacted directly with next steps.
So there’s no need to panic the second the show ends. Just make sure you sign up before Halloween night.
Why This Is Disney News, Too
The Savannah Bananas have become one of the biggest stories in sports, and Disney has been a huge part of that. In 2026, ESPN and Disney+ signed the Bananas’ biggest partnership yet: 25 exclusive games, with every game streaming on Disney+ and the ESPN app. Select games also aired on ESPN, ESPN2, and, for the first time ever, ABC, when the Bananas took on the Party Animals at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
The partnership brought Banana Ball right into the Disney parks, too:
- Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland in March, with a Bananas event right on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Banana Ball Day at Walt Disney World on May 29, with a game at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
And Bananas fans may recognize player Jackson Olson, who’s dancing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars this fall.
A Record Breaking 2026 Season
The 2026 season was the biggest in Banana Ball history. The tour reached 46 states and played to sold out crowds in some of the most famous venues in America, including Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, and the Caesars Superdome.
The Banana Ball Championship League also grew to six teams in 2026: the Savannah Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters, the Texas Tailgaters, the Loco Beach Coconuts, and the Indianapolis Clowns. The season wrapped up with the league’s first ever Banana Bowl in Washington, D.C., where the Texas Tailgaters beat the Savannah Bananas to take the title. The finale streamed exclusively on Disney+.
Will We See More Banana Ball on Disney+?
Disney hasn’t announced its 2027 Banana Ball plans yet. But after a season with games on ABC, events at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and an exclusive Disney+ championship, we’d be surprised if the partnership didn’t continue. We’ll be watching tonight’s show for any hints.
Will you be watching tonight? Which city are you hoping makes the 2027 list? Let us know in the comments!
