Disney is reaching for the stars, literally! The company just announced a brand new collaboration with Italian luxury brand Golden Goose! It’s a Mickey & Friends collection with a retro futuristic space theme. Mickey and the gang are going to the moon, here’s the scoop!
What is Golden Goose?
If you’re not familiar with Golden Goose, they’re the Italian fashion house famous for their handcrafted, “perfectly imperfect” sneakers. Meaning that lived in, vintage inspired look that’s become a cult favorite. This is their first collaboration with Disney, and they went all in on the dreaming big theme: creativity, wonder, and the power of imagination, all through the lens of Mickey & Friends among the stars.
The centerpiece is Golden Goose’s iconic Super-Star sneaker with a full cosmic makeover. A tiny astronaut Mickey chases Pluto toward the signature white leather star on one side, while Donald Duck floats among the stars on the other. Daisy, of course, looks fabulous in her space suit. Even the classic Golden Goose tab got swapped out for a custom Mickey shaped planet, complete with craters and rings. That little detail shows up across the rest of the collection too.
And it’s not just sneakers! This new line includes apparel, accessories, and brand-new pins. Plus, Golden Goose is sending the collection on a global customization tour, with Disney character artists visiting select Golden Goose stores. If one of those stops lands near you, it’s worth checking out!
Now, the real talk… this is luxury pricing. Golden Goose sneakers typically run $600 and up, with tees around $250. I’d say this is very much a splurge piece, not an everyday park day buy. But for the Disney fashion lover who wants something truly special, this is about as unique as it gets.
