Marvel Television and Marvel Animation took over the Empire Stage at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 8. Their panel delivered a new spy series, three more rounds of Marvel Zombies, first looks at X-Men ‘97 and Daredevil: Born Again, and a surprise screening of VisionQuest. Host Brandon Davis moderated, and Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of Television, Animation, Comics and Franchise, led the presentation. Marvel Comics Editor in Chief Stephen Wacker helped open the panel and hinted at comics news still to come this weekend.
If you missed our preview of the weekend, you can catch up on the biggest panels and reveals to watch at New York Comic Con 2026. Here is everything Marvel revealed.
Zodiac Is Marvel’s Next Spy Thriller
The panel opened with a brand new series. Winderbaum revealed the official title and logo for Zodiac and confirmed it is a “spy thriller.” Filming begins this spring, and the series is coming to Disney+ in 2028.
That is all Marvel would share for now. The logo has fans guessing at connections to Marvel’s long history of espionage stories, and casting news should be the next big piece of the puzzle. We break down what we know in our full post on Marvel’s new Zodiac spy thriller series.
Marvel Zombies Returns With Three Halloween Events
Marvel Animation is turning Marvel Zombies into a Halloween tradition. Three new event series, each told in two parts, are on the way:
- Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier arrives just in time for Halloween 2027
- Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu follows in 2028
- Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian closes out the trio in 2029
Winderbaum would not say who the Last Guardian is, only that the reveal is “very, very exciting.” He shared that the team is about halfway through animatics and joked that Disney+ lets them get away with plenty of gore. Get the full details in our post on the three new Marvel Zombies Halloween specials.
X-Men ‘97 Season 3 Brings the Brotherhood and a Wedding
Fans in the room got an exclusive first look at X-Men ‘97 Season 3, and it is packed. The footage teased the return of the Brotherhood of Mutants and wedding bells for Gambit and Rogue, a moment longtime fans have waited decades to see.
Season 3 premieres in 2027, and Marvel confirmed a fourth season is already planned. Winderbaum said the team is “hard at work” and admitted that one episode in particular made him emotional. After the way Season 1 left us, consider the tissues officially on standby.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Swings in January
Creator Jeff Trammell presented an exclusive look at Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, which debuts on Disney+ on January 13, 2027. Hudson Thames returns as the voice of Peter Parker, and the new season brings fresh threats along with a very familiar black symbiote suit.
Trammell explained the shift between seasons. In Season 1, Peter was still learning how to be Spider-Man. In Season 2, he is ready for the job, though he still needs a little help sometimes. Read more about the new villains and guest heroes in our post on Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Reunites the Defenders
This was the moment the crowd lost it. Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, and Finn Jones took the stage together to show exclusive new footage from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, which Marvel says will be the third and final season when it debuts in 2027.
Mike Colter was unable to attend because of a last minute scheduling conflict, but his castmates said he sent his regards. Seeing Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand back together on one stage is something fans of the original Netflix shows never thought would happen, and it sets up a big finish for Hell’s Kitchen.
VisionQuest Gets a Surprise Premiere Screening
The panel closed with VisionQuest. Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, and Emily Hampshire joined showrunner Terry Matalas to talk about Vision’s next chapter and his complicated relationship with Ultron, played by Spader. Then came the surprise: NYCC attendees got an exclusive screening of the first episode.
Everyone else will not have to wait long. VisionQuest premieres October 14, exclusively on Disney+. If you have not seen it yet, check out the latest VisionQuest trailer reuniting Vision with his son as Ultron returns.

Our Take
This was one of Marvel’s strongest TV panels in years. It had something for every kind of fan, from the Netflix era reunion to a full slate of animation stretching out to 2029. The Defenders moment will get the headlines, but the X-Men ‘97 wedding tease might be the one we talk about most until Season 3 arrives.
New York Comic Con continues through Sunday, October 11, and we will keep updating our coverage as more news drops. Which announcement got you most excited? Let us know in the comments!
